TIMELINE
December 2019 - June 2020

  • Project Overview

  • BLUF

House of Palm, a Black, queer-led creative media and live entertainment company, needed a bold, cohesive brand identity that reflected its mission: celebrating Black and LGBTQ+ stories through innovative digital media, live events, and community-driven content.

  • Mission

My role was to develop a refined brand identity, digital strategy, and promotional assets to strengthen House of Palm’s presence across social media, streaming platforms, and live entertainment spaces.

  • Outcomes

Through targeted audience engagement, strategic messaging, and visually compelling branding, I helped House of Palm solidify its position as a fresh, cultural voice in Black and queer media.

  • Impacts

This multi-pronged strategy elevated House of Palm’s presence while laying the foundation for long-term audience and partnership growth.

Key Contributions

  • As a new, independent media brand, House of Palm needed to establish itself in a competitive entertainment landscape.

The challenge was to differentiate its voice, build credibility, and create a lasting impression within the Black and LGBTQ+ creative communities.

Additionally, House of Palm sought to attract funding, partnerships, and collaborators while ensuring that its content strategy remained accessible, engaging, and culturally resonant.

  • I led a strategic branding and marketing approach focused on visibility, engagement, and community connection:

    Visual Identity & Aesthetic Development
Designed bold, eye-catching branding that spoke directly to the House of Palm audience.

    Social Media Growth Strategy
Implemented a data-driven content plan, optimizing storytelling for digital platforms.

    Multimedia & Promotional Content
Produced motion graphics, teaser videos, and branded assets to drive excitement for upcoming projects.

    UX/UI Design for Digital Presence
Developed a seamless, visually striking website experience to engage users and attract industry interest.

Outcomes
& Impacts

Increased Digital Engagement
Social media interactions and content shares doubled within six months.

Expanded Audience Reach
Successfully positioned House of Palm as a new cultural studio, gaining attention from key media outlets and creative professionals.

Community-Centered Growth
Designed marketing campaigns that directly engaged Black and LGBTQ+ creatives, strengthening House of Palm’s mission-driven storytelling.
